As part of our ongoing mission to recognize and celebrate the tireless and life-altering work of NJ Teachers and Educators, we have created the annual NJ Teachers Teacher Appreciation Issue. Because our publication is by teachers for teachers, we asked educators throughout the state to submit names of colleagues who have made a special impact on their students. Whether through an innovative approach, overcoming adversity, motivating students, parents and/or fellow staff members, serving the school community or a renowned affection from their students, teachers do things every day to make a difference. We wanted to spotlight and pay tribute to these difference-makers.
The Teacher Appreciation issue is filled with stories about these educators working in all subjects ranging from teaching early childhood education and early elementary school grades to teaching the mainstream subjects, as well as specials including physical education, art, music, media and teachers in special education, inclusion classrooms and modified classrooms. Reading specialists, curriculum coordinators, principals, school administrators, nurses and other health professionals, teachers aids and school community support staff also make contributions that merit appreciation and recognition.
The NJ Teachers Teacher Appreciation Issue is an annual honor roll recognizing the multitude of educators for whom appreciation of their students, parents, colleagues and supervisors is the ultimate form of recognition.
